The goal of this research is to investigate biomechanical and machine learning-based athletic data generation and on-field monitoring technology for running. Using a single, easy-to-wear IMU on a sports field, we will investigate how to generate athletic data such as ground reaction force, joint motion and joint torque, and metabolic energy with an accuracy of less than 10%, which is a level of accuracy that can be used by athletes for performance and injury management.
